I am using Martin strings since I started playing guitar at the age of 8 years. always test every new concept of string as they come out--Elixir coated strings, Martin SP, D'addario EXP, even the Adamas (Ovation) "composite gauging ' strings. honestly, I keep returning to basic strings of Martin because, well, just a big sound and tend even cost less than comparison most other people. If you insist on spending extra money on guitar strings, pay the extra bucks for Martin
