The Yamaha CG172SF produces the kind of warm and clear tone that you'd expect from a much more expensive guitar, and will meet the demand of today's flamenco or classical players. The solid European spruce top produces a warm, punchy tone that projects extremely well. The top is protected by 2 thin clear "tap plates", also known as a "golpeador", which sits around both sides of the soundhole. The back and sides are constructed from cypress, a traditional tonewood for flamenco guitars. The neck of the Yamaha CG172SF is carved from nato wood and sports a rosewood fingerboard with the low action that flamenco players look for. Case not included.
